FIGIS INC. Issues Allergy Alert On Undeclared Almonds In Lemon Bar Bliss

Figis Inc, Marshfield, WI is recalling 51 units of the product Lemon Bar Bliss (1# tins), because it contains undeclared Almonds. Accordingly, individuals who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to tree nuts may be at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recall was independently initiated by Figis after Figis discovered that the packaging for Lemon Bar Bliss product inadvertently excluded reference to the presence of tree nuts in the product.
Lemon Bar Bliss was distributed in MO, PA, NY, WI, IN, MI, IL, FL, VA, TX, MN, IA, CA, LA, OR, and UT by UPS mail directly to purchasers or recipients.
This product is shipped in a red decorative corrugated box with a Figis logo label. The primary container is a red and gold round tin. The product information label is on the bottom of the tin and is labeled Lemon Bar Bliss. No expiration date is on the box or tin.
No illnesses or other allergic effects have been reported to date.

Cafe-Tasse Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk in Caf-Tasse 45 gr. Noir (Dark) Chocolate Bar

Cafe-Tasse S.A. is voluntarily recalling its 1.58 oz. Cafe-Tasse Noir (Dark) Belgian chocolate bar with best before date of 15 SEPT 2013 because it may contain undeclared traces of milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The product in question was distributed in the following states: VA, MA, WA and CA from January 2012 through mid-April 2012 and was sold in retail stores. The lot code affects only a total of 11 cases of 30 bars of this product that were sold by 7 retailers and 1 distributor, all of who have been contacted.
Product involved pertains to the 1.58 oz. (45 gr.) bar with bar code of 54000219 505504 and expiration date of 15-September 2013. It does not affect any other Cafe-Tasse chocolate bars or sizes. Under the best before date, there is also a lot code with reference: L11303249. An image of the package is below- black paper wrapper over a gold foil.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
The recall was initiated by Cafe-Tasse in Belgium after it was discovered that product containing milk traces was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of milk traces. All remaining inventory of this item has been destroyed.
Consumers who have purchased the Cafe-Tasse Noir 1.57 oz. bar with best before date of September 15, 2013 are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Krispak, Inc. Is Voluntarily Recalling 16 Cases Of GFS Hostess Candy Mix 8-48 oz Packages Due To A Potential Mis-pack, Resulting in Undeclared Milk, Wheat, And Egg Allergens

Krispak, Inc. of Grand Rapids, MI is voluntarily recalling 16 cases of GFS Hostess Candy Mix 8-48 oz packages due to a potential mis-pack, resulting in undeclared allergens. A small number of cases of GFS Hostess Candy Mix were inadvertently put into GFS Chocolate Sprinkles packages. GFS Hostess Candy Mix contains wheat and milk and may contain egg, none of which are declared on the GFS Chocolate Sprinkles package. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk, eggs, and wheat run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The GFS Hostess Candy Mix in question was distributed from April 5th 19th to Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee Gordon Food Service Marketplace Stores.
Product is in a red stand up GFS, 48 oz pouch that says Chocolate Sprinkles. The code date is embossed on the top of the pouch as 088 12.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company's production and packaging processes.
Consumers who have purchased GFS Hostess Mix by the case, or GFS Chocolate Sprinkles should investigate their purchase. Consumers whom received mis-packed product are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Resers Fine Foods, Inc. Is Voluntarily Recalling 653 Cases Of 7 oz. Mrs. Weavers Pimento Spread Due To Milk Allergen

Resers Fine Foods, Inc. of Beaverton, OR is voluntarily recalling 653 cases of 7 oz. Mrs. Weavers Pimento Spread that may have been packaged into containers marked Ham Salad. The Ham Salad label does not list milk ingredients on the label. People who are allergic to milk products run the risk of serious reaction if they consume this product.
There have been no adverse reactions or illnesses reported in connection with this product.
The recalled 7 oz. Mrs. Weavers Pimento Spread was distributed in AR, AZ, FL, LA, MS, OK, TX, and WA between April 11, 2012 and April 17, 2012. The product is sold in a 7 oz. plastic container marked on the side of the lid with Aug/05/12. After the use by date is a facility identifier code of 20 followed by a timestamp No other package codes are affected by this recall.

Nestle Prepared Foods Company Is Voluntarily Recalling Two Hour Codes Of STOUFFERS Satisfying Servings Lasagna Italiano Due to Anchovy Allergen

Nestle Prepared Foods Company announced today that it is voluntarily recalling two hour codes of STOUFFERS Satisfying Servings Lasagna Italiano because the package may contain STOUFFERS Stuffed Peppers. While the Stuffed Peppers are wholesome, the recipe includes Worcestershire Saucewhich contains anchovy as an ingredient--and there is no Anchovy allergen statement on the Lasagna Italiano package. Consumers who are allergic to fish should not consume this product.
These products were manufactured in December 2011 and, given their popularity, Nestl believes there may not be much inventory left on supermarket shelves. However, Nestl is asking consumers to check their freezers for STOUFFERS Satisfying Servings Lasagna Italiano in the 19 1/8 oz. package, with UPC code 13800-44709. The possibly affected production codes include 1349595513R or 1349595513S. This information can be found on the proof of purchase panel, located on the right end flap of the package, below the ingredient statement.

Harry and David Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Peanuts in Harry & David Premium Kansas City Style Barbeque Almonds

Harry and David, is voluntarily recalling approximately 205 2 oz. bags labeled Harry & David Premium Kansas City Style Barbeque almonds, because the bags may contain peanuts. Peanuts are not declared as ingredients, but the label includes the statement May contain trace amounts of allergens not listed in the ingredients. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
Affected product was sold in the following states: CA, CO, DE, MD, NC, NJ, NV, OH, OR, and VA under the Harry & David brand in Harry and David stores only.
Harry and David is recalling 2oz. bags of Harry & David Premium Kansas City Barbeque Almonds with a Best by date of 09/28/12. The Best by date is located on the lower section of the back of the bag. The bag also has the stock identifying number RSD234504 / HA3700195 printed on it. The bar code number for this product is 780994781986. The lot codes for this product are ink jetted on the bag and begin with the digits 0682M 0722M and 0752M. These lots of product were sold beginning 3/29/12.
There have been no illnesses or injuries reported to date. Anyone concerned about an illness/injury should contact a physician immediately.
This problem was discovered on April 10, 2012 when peanuts were found in bulk product shipped to Harry and David by a third party supplier. No peanuts have been reported in bags of Harry & David Premium Kansas City Barbeque Almonds to date.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that allergen labeling of Milk was not properly identified. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by Biscomerica's interpretation of the word "Whey". Whey is identified on all packaging, but is not clearly identified as Milk.
Production of the product has been suspended until FDA and the Biscomerica are certain that the problem has been corrected.

Rajbhog Foods Inc Issues Allergy Alert On Undeclared Cashews In "Vegetable Biryani"

Rajbhog Foods of Flushing, NY is recalling its 10 ounces packages of frozen to eat Vegetable Biryani: because it does contain undeclared cashews. People who have allergies to tree nuts (cashews) run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recalled Vegetable Biryani was distributed nationwide in retail stores.
The product comes in a 10oz, frozen food carton, marked with an inner box liner U9299. This item was sold between the dates of February 21, 2012 and April 6, 2012.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the cashew-containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of cashews in the ingredient list.
Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a breakdown in procedure on the review process of the finalized boxes.
New product run has already begun, and current recipes coincide with the ingredient list present on the packaging. There are no cashews within the revised recipe.

Food Lion Manufacturer Recalls Store Brand Hard/Soft Taco Dinner Kit Due To Milk Allergen - Recalled Products Were Produced Under the Food Lion Store Brand Label and Sold at Food Lion, Harveys and Reids Stores

Food Lion, Harveys and Reids stores issued a voluntary recall this evening for one lot code of the Food Lion store brand hard/soft taco dinner due to a manufacturer error.
Food Lion, Harveys and Reids received notification from the manufacturer of Food Lion store brand products that the Food Lion-branded hard/soft taco dinner may contain a milk allergen in chicken Caesar-flavored seasoning, which is not properly marked and was mistakenly included in the taco dinner kit by the manufacturer. After learning of the error, the stores immediately pulled the product from shelves.
The recall includes only one product the Food Lion store brand hard/soft taco dinner sold at Food Lion, Harveys and Reids grocery stores with the following UPC 3582605118, lot number of ga-aug07125, and pack size of 13.4 ounces. The recall is being issued in an abundance of caution, and customers who may have purchased the recalled product are urged to return the item to their local Food Lion, Harveys or Reids store for a full refund.

Kwik Trip, Inc. is Recalling Glazers Donuts In A 10.75 oz. Cardboard Box Because It May Contain Undeclared Traces Of Egg

Kwik Trip, Inc.located in La Crosse, WI is recalling Glazers Donuts in a 10.75 oz. cardboard box because it may contain undeclared traces of egg. Consumers who are allergic to eggs may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product. On April 5, Kwik Trip, Inc. recalled all Glazers Donuts from their Retail locations due to the undeclared allergen.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered our supplier had added egg to a key ingredient.
The problem has been corrected. No adverse reactions have been reported.
The recalled Glazers Donuts are in a 10.75 oz. cardboard box, UPC CODE 39779 04033, and were sold in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin with a sell by date on or before 04/07.

What is the Problem?
TWI Foods Inc. is voluntarily recalling several varieties of Crispy brand cookies and rusk. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) along with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and TWI Foods Inc., are warning people with allergies to milk or almonds not to consume Crispy brand cookie and rusk products. The affected products contain almonds and/or milk which are not clearly declared on the label.
What are the Symptoms of Illness/Injury?
Food allergy symptoms typically appear from within minutes to up to two hours after a person has eaten the food to which they are allergic. Allergic reactions can include: hives, flushed skin or rash, tingling or itchy sensation in the mouth, face, tongue, or lip swelling, vomiting and/or diarrhea, abdominal cramps, coughing or wheezing, dizziness and/or lightheadedness, swelling of the throat and vocal cords, difficulty breathing, and/or a drop in blood pressure.
Who is at Risk?
Consumers with allergies to milk and/or almonds are at risk. Although most food allergies cause relatively mild and minor symptoms, some food allergies can cause severe reactions, and may even be life-threatening. There is no cure for food allergies.
What Do Consumers Need To Do?
Strict avoidance of food allergens and early recognition and management of allergic reactions to food are important measures to prevent serious health consequences.
Consumers who think they may have become ill from eating cookies or rusk with milk and/or almonds should consult their health care providers.

Odwalla, Inc. Issues Nationwide Allergy Alert On Chocolate Protein Monster Beverage Due to Peanut and Tree Nut Allergens


Odwalla, Inc. is recalling Odwalla Chocolate Protein Monster beverage in 12-oz and 32-oz bottles, with enjoy by dates prior to and including 23 MAY 2012, because of reports from consumers allergic to peanuts and/or tree nuts experiencing severe allergic reactions after consuming this beverage. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts and/or tree nuts may run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
Odwalla Chocolate Protein Monster product that is being recalled includes all enjoy by dates prior to 23 MAY 2012 and the specific UPC codes listed below.
These Odwalla Chocolate Protein Monster beverages were distributed nationwide through retail food stores and on-premise foodservice establishments during the last seven weeks. The 12-oz bottles of Chocolate Protein Monster are also available in an Odwalla Protein Monster variety pack sold exclusively at Costco during this same timeframe. The variety pack is a 10-pack of 12-oz bottles of the different Protein Monster varieties, four bottles of which are Chocolate Protein Monster.
Chocolate Protein Monster is sold in 12-oz and 32-oz re-sealable plastic packaging and must be kept refrigerated. The beverage labels carry the brand name Odwalla and the descriptors Chocolate Protein Soy and Dairy Protein Shake and Protein Monster. Specific enjoy by dates can be found printed on the neck of the bottles.
To date, four consumers have contacted Odwalla to report allergic reactions after drinking the product. These four consumers are not known to be allergic to soy and milk but report being allergic to peanuts and/or tree nuts.
Odwalla has notified the FDA of these consumer reports and is working with FDA to investigate the cause of these allergic reactions. This beverage contains no peanut or tree nut ingredients, and the production facility where it is produced does not make any peanut-containing products. While we have found no evidence of peanuts or tree nuts in the product at this point, in an abundance of caution to safeguard consumers, Odwalla is recalling this product while continuing to investigate the cause of the reactions.
Consumers who are allergic to peanuts or peanuts and tree nuts and who have Odwalla Chocolate Protein Monster product with the specified enjoy by dates are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Los Olivos LTD Issues Allergy Alert On Undeclared Milk Allergens In "Los Olivos LTD Pan de Torta"

Los Olivos LTD of Farmingdale, NY, is recalling its 16 ounce packages of "Pan de Torta" bread because they may contain undeclared milk allergens. Consumers who are allergic to milk allergens may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.
The product comes in a 16 ounce, clear plastic package marked with lot #50912 stamped on the side. The recalled "Pan de Torta" was sold to Queso La Ricura located at 225 Park Avenue Hicksville NY 11801 and distributed throughout Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens., Manhattan, Staten Island and the Bronx and New Jersey. The product was distributed nationwide by other distributors.
The recall was initiated after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis by Food Laboratory personnel revealed the presence of undeclared milk allergens in the 16 ounce packages of "Los Olivos Pan de Torta which did not declare a milk ingredient on the label.

Threeline Imports, Inc located at 14A 53 Street, Brooklyn New York, 11232 is recalling KYPOYKA BISQUIT in a 21.16 oz cardboard box because it may contain undeclared eggs. Consumers who are allergic to eggs may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.
The recalled KYPOYKA BISQUIT in a 21.16 oz cardboard box, container code 072611 042612, were sold in New York State and Florida.

Walmart Recalls Cruller Bakery Pastries Due To Mislabeled Milk Allergen

Walmart recalled its eight-count packages of Cruller bakery pastries because the common name of milk was not listed following sodium caseinate, a milk derivative, on the ingredient label. People who have milk allergies that do not recognize sodium caseinate as a milk derivative run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the product.
The eight-count packaged bakery items affected by this recall have a UPC code of 787429847 which can be found on the box label. The items affected by this recall have expiration dates of on or before Feb. 9, 2012. The pastries can be recognized as a ring-shaped twisted sweet cake similar to a doughnut. The products were labeled and sold in Walmart store bakeries in Puerto Rico and all US states with the exception of Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
All stores affected by the recall have been notified to remove and discard the mislabeled products. Corrective action has been taken to ensure all current and future products are properly labeled to reflect the common name of milk as an ingredient.

Walgreen Co. Voluntarily Recalls Certain Lots of 13 Oz. Chocolate-Covered Raisins As Product May Contain Peanuts, Almonds, Soy Due to Packaging Error


Walgreen Co. is voluntarily recalling certain lots of 13-oz. Walgreens Chocolate-Covered Raisins because the packages may contain Walgreens Bridge Mix with peanut, almond and soy ingredients.
The error occurred when Walgreens Bridge Mix was mistakenly packaged with the Walgreens Chocolate-Covered Raisin labeling. Walgreens discovered the incident after receiving a consumer complaint of an allergic reaction. The product manufacturer, GKI Foods, Inc. of Brighton, Mich., is also cooperating in the voluntary recall.
Walgreen Co. has already instructed stores to stop selling the affected product, which can be identified as a blue and white plastic bag with chocolate-covered raisins pictured on the front and the following identifying information on the back label: best by date of "Oct 42012A1", UPC number 04902245661, and item number 280217. The affected product was distributed through Walgreen Co. distribution centers in Arizona, Connecticut and California and to Walgreens retail stores in the Northeastern and Western United States. Today Rexall, Inc., of Deerfield Beach, Florida, announced a recall of Rexall Calcium 1200 mg plus 1000IU Vitamin D3, 60 softgels. The affected bottles actually contain a TABLETproduct, Triple Strength Glucosamine Chondroitin and MSM Tablets.
Glucosamine is derived from the shells of certain crustaceans. Because the product may contain trace quantities of undeclared shellfish, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to shellfish (e.g., shrimp, crab, lobster, clams or oysters) run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Shamrock Foods, a Phoenix, Ariz., establishment, is recalling approximately 7,500 pounds of marinated beef and marinated chicken products because the marinated beef product contains soybeans, wheat, and sulfites, and the marinated chicken product contains wheat, milk and sulfites, known allergens that are not declared on the label for either product.

The recalled products were produced from Dec. 1, 2011 through Dec. 29, 2011, and shipped to food service institutions in Arizona.

Aubertine today alerted consumers to undeclared milk in Pan Dominicano (Dominican Bread), packaged and distributed by Gollo Desserts located at 349 Suydam St. in Brooklyn, NY. The recalled Pan Dominicano (Dominican Bread) is packaged in a 7 ounce clear plastic bag containing 6 pieces of the product. The bag is labeled with a UPC code of 96321-00220. The recall affects all available codes of this product. The product was sold in the NYC metro area, Long Island, NJ and CT.

B. Robert Foods Recalls Meatloaf Entres Due to Misbranding and an Undeclared Anchovies Allergen

B. Roberts Foods, a Charlotte, N.C. establishment, is recalling approximately 130 pounds of individual serving meatloaf entres because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The product contains anchovies, a known allergen, which is not noted on the label.

The label on the top of each package correctly identifies the recalled products, but the bottom label of each package reads "Homestyle Meatloaf with Tomato Sauce." The bottom label bears the establishment number "EST. 19198" inside the USDA mark of inspection, as well as a use by date of "12/20/11." The product code "23431" also is stamped on the bottom label. The entres were distributed to grocery stores in Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
A grocery store employee discovered that the top and bottom labels on the entrees did not match. The grocery store reported the error to B. Roberts Foods, which found that the "Meatloaf with Red Skin Mashed Potatoes" entres had been given bottom labels intended for "Homestyle Meatloaf with Tomato Sauce" due to an employee error. The recalled products are made with Worcestershire sauce that includes anchovies, which are allergenic and must be noted on the label.
FSIS and the company have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.

RHEE BROS.,INC. of Hanover, MD, is recalling its 8 ounce packages of ASSI brand Korean Cake (Gyeong Dan) because they contain undeclared egg. People who have allergies to eggs, run the risk of serious life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recalled ASSI brand Korean Cake (Gyeong Dan) were distributed nationwide in Asian food retail stores. The product comes in an 8 ounce, wrapped with plastic wrap on a tray. Its item number is 20649D on the label.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
The recall was initiated after sampling by New York state food inspectors discovered that the egg containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of egg.

Silva Sausage Co., a Gilroy, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 2,290 pounds of a chorizo sausage product because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agricultures Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The product contains wheat, a known allergen, which is not noted on the label.

5-lb. vacuum packs of NETOS MEXICAN CHORIZO 4/1.
The product subject to recall bears the establishment number 6086 inside the USDA mark of inspection and can be further identified by the item number 18062 and lot codes 11279, 11293, 11304, 11321, 11333, or 11341. The product was produced between Oct. 1, 2011, and Dec. 9, 2011, and distributed for institutional use in Santa Clara, Calif.
FSIS discovered the problem during a label review at the establishment. The review revealed that cereal, which contained wheat, was used in the product and was inadvertently left off the product labels. FSIS and the company have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.

Maumee Valley Vending Company announced a voluntary recall on Buffalo Chicken Wedge Sandwiches containing cheese, a milk product. A recall notification was initiated by Maumee Valley Vending Co. because milk was not listed in the ingredients on the label. The total production for this product was three hundred fifty (350) sandwiches.
The product in question is:
Buffalo Chicken Wedge Sandwiches CLF103 11/21 $1.85. The product is packaged in a white opaque plastic triangular container with a clear plastic overwrap. The code may be found on the bottom of the label.
All products with the above expiration code are being recalled. Product was distributed to office vending machines in Ohio and Indiana.
The voluntary recall is a result of the Food and Drug Administrations expanded investigation concerning correct product labeling. There have been no reported illnesses related to this product. Rhythm Superfoods, LLC is initiating the voluntary recall of a limited quantity of KOOL RANCH KALE CHIPS, UPC/SKU code 8 29739 00052 1. A quantity (approx. 2,700 cases) of KOOL RANCH KALE CHIPS containing cashews was inadvertently placed into packaging that did not declare cashews as an ingredient and possibly shipped to retail locations nationwide. People who have an allergy, or a severe sensitivity to cashews, run a risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. Because the mislabeled product contains cashews, an allergen, Rhythm Superfoods is strongly advising consumers who are allergic to cashews and who have purchased the recalled product not to consume it to avoid the possibility of a serious allergic reaction.

Wells Enterprises, Inc., in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is voluntarily recalling a limited number of packages of its Blue Bunny Personals ice cream 5.5 fl oz. because it was mispackaged and contains undeclared wheat. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat and/or have gluten sensitivities may be at risk from consuming these products.
On a limited number of packages, the lid describes the product as Blue Bunny Super Chunky Cookie Dough ice cream, and the carton portion of the package describes the product as Blue Bunny Peanut Butter Panic ice cream. The product inside the carton is Super Chunky Cookie Dough. The ingredient statement on the carton does not declare wheat, which is an ingredient in the Super Chunky Cookie Dough product.
The affected mispackaged product was distributed in 5.5 fl oz. Personals cartons, with Lot Number 10009 Best Used By date 10/1/2012, - UPC 0 70640 00463. The lot number and UPC can be found printed on the side of the carton.

People who do not have a milk allergy or sensitivity need not take any action.
The recall covers Brewers Yeast tablets, 10 grain, 650 mg, in bottle sizes of 200 tablets (product code 2410) and 500 tablets (product code 2412). The products were distributed throughout the United States and other countries. The affected U.S. lot numbers for product 2410 are 1334119, 1354098, and 1362375. The affected U.S. lot numbers for product 2412 are 1347607, 1334773, and 1358774. These lots were produced between March and June 2011. The product code is located on the label and the lot number is located on the bottom of the package. All other NOW Foods products, including Brewers Yeast product code 2420, are not affected and are not involved in this recall.
The presence of a milk allergen in the two affected products was discovered during an FDA inspection of NOWs supplier of Brewers Yeast tablets and confirmed through allergen testing by NOW. No illnesses or adverse events have been reported to date.
NOW Foods is providing information on this voluntary recall to all of its retailers who purchased these products and is encouraging retailers to make every effort to contact their customers to facilitate returns.
All consumers may return the affected product to the place of purchase or to NOW Foods for a full refund. No receipt is necessary. Consumers with additional questions may call the NOW Foods Customer Service Department at 1-888-NOWFOODS (1-888-669-3663).

Kroger Recalls Select Containers of Private Selection Extreme Moose Tracks Ice Cream for Undeclared Peanut Allergen

The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) said today it is recalling select containers of Private Selection Extreme Moose Tracks Ice Cream sold in 10 states because it may contain peanuts not listed on the label.
Customers should return the product to stores for a full refund or replacement.
People who are allergic to peanuts could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. For consumers who are not allergic to peanuts, there is no safety issue with the product.
Kroger stores in the following states are included in this recall: Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, portions of eastern Missouri, Ohio and northern Kentucky, South Carolina, and eastern Tennessee. The recall also includes Kroger stores in Illinois and Indiana that operate under the following banner names: Jay C, Food 4 Less (Chicago area), Owen's, Pay Less and Scott's.
Not included in this recall are Kroger stores in Arkansas, Kentucky (except northern Kentucky), Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, central and western Tennessee. Other stores Kroger operates under different banner names are also not included in this recall.

Nestl Prepared Foods Company Announces Allergy Alert and Voluntary Recall of LEAN CUISINE Dinnertime Selects Chicken Fettuccini Recall Due to Package Mislabeling and Undeclared Shrimp

Nestl Prepared Foods Company, a business unit of Nestl USA, is initiating the voluntary recall of a limited quantity of LEAN CUISINE Dinnertime Selects Chicken Fettuccini/UPC code 13800-14880. The affected product is marked with a production code of 1253595911Gand has a best before date of October 2012. A small quantityless than 200 packages--of LEAN CUISINE Dinnertime Selects Lemon Garlic Shrimp product was inadvertently placed into packaging for LEAN CUISINE Dinnertime Selects Chicken Fettuccini and possibly shipped to grocers in Alaska, Florida, Idaho, Oregon and Washington State. Four consumers who purchased the mislabeled product alerted Nestl to this issue. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported. Out of an abundance of caution, Nestl issued this voluntary recall of an entire hour code of production to ensure the safety of consumers.
Because the mislabeled product contains shrimp, an allergen, Nestl is strongly advising consumers who are allergic to shellfish and who have purchased the recalled product not to consume it to avoid the possibility of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. Instead, Nestl asks consumers to contact us for a full refund by calling Nestl Consumer Services (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday) directly at 1-800-542-6935.
Consumers who may have purchased LEAN CUISINE Dinnertime Selects Chicken Fettuccini/UPC code 13800-14880 should look for the manufacturing code, located in the grey box, on the right flap of the package. The manufacturing code of the recalled product is: 1253595911G. No other LEAN CUISINE products are impacted by this recall.
